Peel the bananas and slice them in half lengthwise.
In a pan over medium heat, melt the butter and add the brown sugar. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
Add the cream and vanilla extract and stir until the mixture becomes a caramel sauce.
Add the banana slices to the pan and coat them in the caramel sauce.
Remove the banana slices from the pan and set aside to cool.
